how do I defeat termal sensing in fan?

Okay, I accidentally bought four fans and did not read the packaging too close. Apparently, the fans are thermal sensing and are supposed to respond to the temp in the case. I don't know if should really trust the sensors on the fans. It seems like a little piece of plastic ( or some ind of substance) at the end of two wires that lead back to the center of the fan. Anyway, I have an Antec fan controller (the cool one that glows blue around the dials) and would rather use that. Does anyody think it is possible to cut off the sensors and just have it run full power then I can control them through the antec. Or maybe I should leave the sensors and put them REALLY close the the heat sink so they are always kind of in the "full power" mode whereby I can do the controlling myself again. Any opinions?

Cut the sensor off and connect the leads together ( that works on My Themaltake Fan)
If that doesnt work then cut the leads off
