How do I cut off the grill on the Crystal Orb?

I've read from a lot of reviews that the grill with the TT logo on it on the Crystal Orb restricts airflow a lot, and that cutting it off helps lower temps quite a bit. How would I go about removing the grill? It looks like I could use tin snippers or a dremel tool, but the fan is so close to the grill that I'm a little worried about getting metal shards into it. Any suggestions?

metal shards could just be blown off couldnt they? dont see them hurting anything....

Just pull it off I did that to mine because it was rubbing on the fan.

Just pull it off, its just seems like its welded on but it's not. Try to pull it from the 2 gaps. You'll get it eventually.

It's fitted into a notch. Just start in one place and pry it out.
