The way that Starcraft's multi-player works doesn't work across a VPN. There used to be custom Starcraft servers that were available, but those days appear to be gone.

Starcraft doesn't support TCP gaming connections, and doesn't provide the Server software. With the software that Starcraft provides, you need Broadcasts in order to see the other players. Obviously, that won't work on the Internet.

So the only way to play is either on a LAN or on the Internet using BattleNet's servers.

I'd be interested in hearing how well that works. I'd like to be able to use Starcraft across the Internet.

a member on here has already set one up, mercenaryforhire, ive used his and played on it, its pretty good, download the reg file from cjweber.com/m4h.reg and it will edit you registry to change you b.net gateways to his server. of if you want change it yourself /hikey local user/software/battle.net/battle.net gateways

change to m4h.no-ip.org
