I have an ATI 9700 Pro and ATI HDTV Wonder and am using Catalyst 5.5

I have the ATI DVI to component adapter and am trying to figure out how to create a 480i resolution for playback of dvds via component out to my Infocus 4805 DLP projector.

Anyone know how I can do this?

(I think the resolution has to be 848 x 480, but I can't figure out how to create this resolution within Windows XP Home)

Upgrade to the latest Cats and you should have some more resolution options for HDTVs. You might have to install CCC to get them if you don't have it already.

Beyond that, you can use Powerstrip to create custom resolutions and tweak timings, etc. for just about any TV/videocard combo.

Powerstrip is free, and download the 5.13 cats from ATI.com and get it with CCC. I'm pretty sure it lets you select that resolution.
