How do I create a LAN?

Well I have a wireless router and two comps with wireless adapters. I'm not really good at these kinds of things, but I would like to know if it is possible to create a LAN via wireless?

connect the two computers wirelessly to the router. the wireless adapter software should tell you how to connect to the router. then run windows xp network setup wizard. if one or both of the computers aren't on XP, make sure both computers are in the same workgroup. to check or change workgroup names, go to my computer properties, click the computer name tab, and change/view your workgroup name there.

I believe it is... sadly, I've only done wired LANs. Networking is my weaker area, but I'm pretty sure it's pretty much like a wired LAN. You have to have compatible connections with everyone, and a router with support for multiple computers... which is kinda the point of a router exsisting -.-;;. I'd check out the manual that came with the router maybe. If you're running Windows XP Professional, should be rather simple to set up.

what OS are your computers running?

if they're XP, you can use the wireless network zero configuration tool found in countrol panel, or you can use the software that came with your wireless network adapter.

it really isn't that hard to connect to a wireless router. companies have literally made it idiot-proof.

Both of the computers were running on Win XP and Win XP pro. Both of them connects to the internet on wifi . Since the wireless router is also a modem 😛

OK, since they can alreayd surf the internet, they're partly networked. on one of your computers, run the network setup wizard in control panel (classic view), then follow the directions.
