How do i cook pork chops??

Ok in the quest to feed my self i've decided to try pork chops. I bought some nice ones but how the hell do i cook them? My mom says toss them in the teflon pan with some pineapples but what temp do i cook at and for how long?

I'd say medium heat and use a cover on the pan so they don't dry out. They have a tendency to get too dry. I bet this is why your mom said to use pineapple. Pineapple would also add some flavor.

Once in a while you can even put a small amount of water in the pan to keep them moist. By a little a mean a few tablespoons at a time. Don't dump in too much or it lowers the pan's temp too much and they won't cook.

They shouldn't take longer than 5 - 10 minutes, but use your judgement. You can cut one open after a while to check it out. If it's pink, it's not done. It needs to be white all the way through.

i think chops are generally broiled... at what temp and for how long though, you'll have to ask someone with a Betty Crocker book available to them... i'm a bachelor, so if it ain't mac-n-cheese or microwave food, i won't be able to help you...

Bignate,

-Garnish with onion, salt, pepper, and lime or lemon juice (All Optional)

-Cook in oven in a fairly flat baking pan, cover, cook at 450 degrees at 20 minutes per pound. If you don't have a baking pan, you can use a large pot but make sure it is oven safe and has a cover.

-Toward the last 15 min. or so, uncover them to brown and enjoy. 🙂

I like to cook pork in the microwave, it dosen't dry out then, unless you really overcook it.

I usually use the medium or medium high setting and cook them in a covered dish to keep the moist in and the fat splatters off the microwave walls...

hey these are "cutlests" hmm, i assume it doesn't change the cooking but i think they are slightyly thicker than chops. I may have to cook them longer.

southern fried. dip them in an egg milk mixture, coat them in flour.. then fry those babys...mmmm.mm! that is some good eaten.

at least they turned out good on your fisrt try.....if you ever decide to make dumplins, make sure you don't burn them....they are nasty as all get out....first time i tried to make them the flys pitched in and bought me a screen door

I've got one hell of a recipe for pork chops. It invloves beer and onions... PM me for it if you want it.

I would have put them in my Ronco Showtime Rotisserie BBQ. That thing is awesome, I can't cook for sh*t, but with the oven, it's foolproof.

I grill Hormel butterfly chops with some marinade. They stay tender and juicy. You can almost cut them with a fork. The key is buying good chops. If you want to marinade them, try Stubbs. Or make a mixture. Like KC Masterpiece (the best)BBQ sauce, spices, A1, Red Hot, Worchestshire (or however you spell it) and what ever else you want to put in it.

my mom throws em in a pan to fry the outsides and then tosses em in the oven for some time. garnished w/ onions, garlic, salt and pepper for a day or so.

good stuff. damn, i'm at school.. i miss mom's food....
