Manually or via an app/or suite?

Try these:

DVD2SVCD
DVDx2.2
Gordian Knot

...............in fact stuff it, I cant be arsed to type any more....get over to DVDRHelp and look in the TOOLS section under DVD to AVI.

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools?section=30#30

Use the sites 'How to' Guides for the stuff you need.

Doom9 and Nickyguides (digital digest) also have loads of info....google for em.

Most computer DVD programs allow you to view the files.

Just open the Video_TS.ifo file

I use CyberLink to view my DVDs that are on my hard drive.

Use IsoBuster on ISOs. Double click the ISO, click on the MPEG2AV folder, right click ont he AVxxxx(something like that) file and select extract but filter only M2F2 mpeg yada yada. Then save it as *****.mpg.
