What version of word are you using? I have office 2K. I can open a word perfect document from "file" --> "Open"; just change the document type at the bottom of the window to word perfect 5.x (or whatever). Then if you want you can do a "save as" and save the document in word format. If you don't have the option to open a word perfect document in word, maybe you haven't installed the word perfect converters.

bjc112,

The conversion utilities are built into Word, although sometimes you have to specify that you want them installed. I'm not sure if WordPerfect 7 is one of the converters included on the Word disk, but if not you can probably get it from

office.microsoft.com

Look through the download section and I bet you'll find it.
