So I was looking at the manual for my P160, and all they say about temperature sensors is that I should "connect" them to the hard drive and CPU. Say I want to "connect" them to the CPU and Video card. How would I go about doing this?
Good question I haven't found a useful way to use my three thermal diodes in my case. They pretty much sit tied up and out of the way. Not that I need them, because the cpu is monitored by my mobo and my grphx card is monitored by the graphics driver. The only useful purpose might be to measure temp for my raptors and ambient temp.
you can tape them in place or carefully wedge them between the HD and the HD cage. As for the cpu, wedge it as close to the core under the HSF as possible.
It does say in the manual to connect them to the motherboard and the hard drives. Maybe my CPU and Video card temperature is monitered by my DFI-Ultra motherboard?
