I'm sorry this has been asked before....

I'm going to build my first Duron system

Duron 600
msi pro 2 a
sb live value
radeon all in wonder
maxtor 45gig
toshiba 12-40 dvd
antec sx 830

I'm going to build the system with the video card being the only card installed....

configure hard drive.....

Then do I install windows 98SE or the via 4 in 1 drivers?

I found this at Via.com

Win98 Installation
Q: What is the procedure for installing Win98 on VIA chipset based systems?
A: There are four important steps to follow:
1) Go into BIOS setup and enable USB
2) Install Win98 on your system
3) Download and install the VIA IrQ routing miniport driver from our driver page
4) Download and install the VIA AGP driver from our driver page (for MVP3 & VP3 chipsets only)

Is that all I need to do? Is that what the 4in1 drivers are?

Is there an option for the agp driver? turbo mode or something...?

Any help , advice......

Thanks...

Yes the steps from the VIA website are correct, USB mode should be enabled by default on your system, but just check.
I *THINK* that the newest 4-in-1 drivers set to turbo mode automatically, but if not, select turbo mode.
Good luck at building your Duron system!!

You get a choice of what to install (tickboxes). Just make sure that you get the latest version from the via.com.tw site. You may want to install the busmaster drivers at a later stage... there have been some problems with them. The ones with Windows 98 should be fine (unless you have got a ATA 100 enabled drive).
