One-way cable modem has a fixed ip address (address omitted for security reasons) and NIC requires an assigned IP and Subnet of 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.255.0, NO gateway, DNS & WINS disabled. DUN is configured to default settings and provides my assigned/fixed ip address after connected (default gateway is the same as my fixed ip), as referenced from winipcfg.

Installing the router requires the cable modem be connected to the WAN port, in turn the NIC is now connected to port 1 of the router using straight-thru cat5 cables.

Prior to installing router I made a hard copy of winipcfg while online. Referencing any needed info from winipcfg would be helpful.

Can someone provide solid guidance as to the router setup? Thanks in advance.
