How do I clear some Internet files?

On the address bar in IE, when you type in an address, it brings down recent addresses with those letters. How do I delete that so that when I type in an address, it doesn't bring drop those other addresses down?

From inside IE, go to 'Tools' - 'Internet Options' - 'Advance' - then remove the check mark from 'Use Inline AutoComplete'

In IE6 click on Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComplete remove the tickmark next to 'Use AutoComplete for Web addresses'.

alternatively, check do not search from the address bar under internet options/advanced!

the use inline autocomplete was not checked and i can't find those other options. its IE6 with win2k SP2.
