I know I can figure this one out if I had an NT computer here, but I only have ME, 98SE, and Win2K here.
I have a client that needs to change the temporary folder size or change it to his D: drive. He has a 15
GB HD that has a 2 GB FAT16 and a 13 GB NTFS partition. He's trying to install a strange program that
says not enough disk space or something like that. I think it's the temp. folder not being big enough. He's
got 1 GB of free space on the 2 GB drive and all of the 13 GB space free. Is there a way to change the
temp. folder to be able to be larger or tell NT to use the D: drive as the temp folder? I need detailed
instructions for I can tell him over the phone. He's not very computer literate. I will be telling him blindly
because I don't have a NT PC here. Yes, he was logged on as Administrator too.

Thanks,

Cory

Right-click on My Computer, and select the Advanced tab. Click on the Environment Variables button. There you will be able to change the temp folder location.

If you need any more help, post back.

I had to go there and do this. But, I ended staying the whole day there, so I guess it was worth it.

Thanks for the help.
