How do I change the default booting OS on dual boot system Win98 and XP

Like the title says I have win 98se on C: drive and win XP on D: how do i change it so that wiindows xp doesnt automatically boot up in 20 some odd seconds (assuming you dont press any keys ) I would rather win 98 boots automatically

in XP- right click my computer > properties > advanced > startup and recovery

you'll have to edit the boot.ini

hmm, thought you just choose microsoft windows instead of XP from the dropdown menu list for default operating system!

Yeah, that's right. You can also pick how long the menu is displayed before it picks the default. This is in the system properties window simonthought mentioned.

I can't say for certain about WinXP, but because it is soo close to Win2k, I will try....

goto my computer, right click select Properties,
then Advanced tab, Start up and Recovery,
Select OS to boot and how long to wait.

I do admit this is for 2000, but XP is a pretty 2000:D
