How do I change my DDR 400 to DDR 333?

Ive had computer lock up problems and I've read somewhere if I downgrade my RAM setting I should be able to solve the lock up problem

So my question is, How do I set it so my PC3200 400 is running 333?

Lockups can have many potential causes, ram is only one of them. Does it tend to only lock up when playing games, or just at random? What are your system's specs?

My computer locks up randomly.

I think he means Jaton, they are a pretty dodgy manuf of video cards

Try running a memory tester. I'd all but eliminate the video card as a suspect if lockups occur when you're not gaming. You have the latest mb chipset drivers installed?

I ran a mem test and everything went ok.
I can't seem to find the place in the bio where I can adjust the RAM speed.

I did see a place where the DIMM setting is at 2.60
I'm not sure if that's something different..

2.60 probably refers to VDIMM.

I can't play counter strike... as soon as I load it. The game shuts down.

Also, Counter Strike doesn't load. but Day of Defeat loads....

Thats probably not memory related, but more likely cpu. Try running Prime95 for a few hours and see if you get an error, that'll tell you if the CPU's at fault since you already checked the mem.

It probably locks up because you posted the SAME question THREE TIMES...

Seriously, how can you 'rule out' the power supply if you swap a new one in and it boots? Something's fishy. Just try and see if it's prime stable with the video card and the HDD.

You need to..
Take out everything crucial, so run it with only a vid card, a CD or DVD-ROM Drive, one stick of memory, and your HDD. Prime95 it at least overnight after a full re-install of the OS and drivers. Then, run Memtest. Go from there.
