How do I change a VBR mp3 file into a normal wav or mp3 file, so I can make an audio cd from it?

I just downloaded a Variable Bit Rate (VBR) mp3 file and when I tried to burn it to an audio cd using Nero 5.5 the file length and my cd came out to about 33 minutes of music; however, when I play the mp3 file in winamp the length of it is just over 72min. Does anybody know how I can change this to a normal wav or mp3 file, so I can make an audio cd that has all 72min of music on it.

BTW the mp3 file is Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix Non-stop Megamix and the size of the file is ~34MB.

depending on how the VBR mp3 was encoded - it should burn just fine.
My guess would be that it's been encoded using MusicMatch (i think that was the one that made playtimes all screwy in VBR rips)

Why not just convert it to a .wav - any prog that does that in the first place should be able to handle doing it to the VBR mp3.

a 34mb/72min mp3 ?? even w/ VBR that's fairly poor quality - about 64kbps - might be worth looking for another version.
