How do I capture Screen Shots from AVI or WMV files?

I currently am using Windows Media Player.. and trying to use "Print Screen," however I end up with a blank screen. How can I capture a screen shot from a movie file? Thanks!

It works when copy'd to photoshop but in ms paint it dont.\\

i just print screen in virtualdub

go to the settings/options for wmp and change the renderer from default to renderless.
that or use a screencap program that does overlays like hypersnap dx.

edit: oh yeah, after changing the settings you need to restart wmp before it takes effect.
