how do I cancel an xbox live account?

signed up for xbox live free trial, dont want to keep it... do i have to do it with the xbox or can I do it online with my computer?

I bought a year of Xbox LIve when it came out... a few months ago I noticed they charged me $49.99 for a renewal. I haven't used the service in months. I called them up and they credited me without a problem. The girl on the line tried to get me to stay and asked why I didn't want it, and I told her it was because Halo 2 was delayed and I'd renew when that comes out. Credit showed up on my card in about 4 days.
