Just as my title states. My left arm is much weaker then my right. every time I lift my left arm kills me. How do I change this. How do I strengthen one arm back to what my right arm's strengths is. See I lifted all day today and my right arm is fine I could keep going but my left arm is gone. Theres a constant sensation of pain in it. This happens everytime I try and lift. I have hand weights to work with. 5 10 15lbs weights. What ever excersises you tell me to do I will do to get my strength back.

My left arm isnt as flexable as my right arm also.

your favorite arm will always be your strongest.

the only way is just favor the other arm in the same way.

Not necessarily true, especially when it comes to stabilizers. This could be a mobility issue, but I'm not going to put much effort into any post for the OP. He tends to just ignore vital information for fixing things.

Read his post about having 4 herniated discs and then call me frustrated. He ignored basic advice to get that fixed to continue weightlifting while essentially disabled.

I already said why I cant see a physical therapist. I cant leave the house if I could I would. At least I'm trying to get into shape. loosing the weight will help my back tremendously. The only advice I ignored was to see a physical therapist and thats it. I explained this already. also I cant do multi sets in a row do to back limitations. Ty for your post thou it is appreciated.

Name one more other thing I have ignored I bet you cant. I raised my weights and lowered my reps. I still do it every 30-60mins but thats because of my back. I cant do repeative sets in a row because it hurts my back. If I take it nice and easy I fell little to no pain at all. If I over do it thats when I hurt bad.

The only advice I have ignored was the go see a physical therapist and I cant do multi sets in a row. and I already explained why I cant do those two things. I cant see a physical therapist because I cant leave my house. and 2nd I cant do multi sets in a row because it aggitates my back. If I do a single set then 30 mins later I do another set then my back is fine.

Just like my thread says above im loosing the weight so my back will get better. Ive changed alot over the last 4 days.
a. I do higher weights lower reps. (still need to do every 30mins or so do to back limitations thou)
b. I changed my diet.
1. Eggs for breakfast
2. Ribeye steak for lunch
3. A normal supper (meat potatos and sometimes a veg
4. Fruit as snack (sometimes a bad snack)
c. I learned t he proper form which was recommened
d. I dont do curls anymore
e. Other little tid bits that I have learned.

Please understand I am hear to learn just not all the normal advice applies to me. Do to the Bipolar manic dep. and my back limitations

And the excersises that I do have been approved by my normal doctor. I posted this in another thread also. My normal doctor stated if it doesnt agitate my injury then go ahead and do it. It would be benefical to my back since I am getting back into shape.

If your still angry after reading this socialychallenged or if I left anything else out that you were upset at and I didnt explain it right please let me know

Why can't you leave your house?

Ya I have extreme bipolar manic depression. If I try to leave my bedroom for long periods of time I have very bad panic attacks where I pass out. The only thing that calms me down is smoking. It sucks. Im on about 4 different medications to try and help. Abilify, cymbalta, alprzalam and I dont remember the last one. I only leave for doctor visits and a small walk around the block. Sometimes I feel ok and I leave to go to the store but thats very few and far between.

I'm not even going to attempt to suggest any mental health diagnoses over the internet. However, I will say that panic attacks are not one and the same as bipolar disorder (which has been renamed from manic depression); the two are actually very distinct forms of psychopathology. If you are indeed have panic attacks or panic-like symptoms, there are forms of psychotherapy developed explicitly to address them. You could be very well-served to look into therapists in your area who treat panic and/or other anxiety disorders.

Bipolar disorder is not directly related to panic attack. If you get panic attacks, you either have an anxiety or panic disorder on top of that. If you have these things, you need to get them treated on top of your back pain. If you don't, your body will be ruined very quickly. Medicate yourself, see your psychologist, and get some advice on how to go from there. Honestly, it's not a question on if you should work out with your back. It's more like - you get your back checked out and fixed so you can work out. If you don't, you can't work out with weights like this. You'll ruin whatever's left of your back.

Its not easy to explain. Sometimes I am fine other times I cant even get out of bed. I dont quite understand it either and its my body. The goverment has seen me as disabled do to it thou. I had to see countless therapist and goverment agents (dont know what else to call them). I will say working out does help thou it releases endorfins to help me. And since I started working out my dep hasnt been as bad.

Imagine being afraid of driving, afraid of choking when you eat, afraid of everything. I never used to be like this I just get so anxiety about it. I just cant explain it.

If you guys dont believe me I could take apic of my medicine bottles lol. I take so many trying to get better.

and my doctor said I could work out. She gave me the ok as long as it doesnt agitate my back. If it ever does I should stop immediately. Since I feel little to no pain while lifting weights Its ok for me to workout. She said it would actually help me loose weight which would help my back, and help me to release the endorphins to help my depression .

basically im trying to get myself back to normal. In my weight, mental health, and my back pain. If I do I can go back to work which I am dieing to do. It drives me crazy to sit at home all day nothing to do.

Ty for your kind words. If anyone made fun of my disability would have shown there maturity levels. I would rather be physicaly disabled then mentaly because then I would at least have a life outside this room.
