How do I Build/Put together my own Lap-Top?

Basically is there somewhere I can get a bare-bones system, something with no CPU, hard drive, etc?

I checked price-watch, but all I could find is a bunch pre-built systems.

If nothing else is it possible to find stuff like displays, cases, motherboards, etc. separately, and then put them together?

I never heard of such thing. The closest thing I know is available is DeskNote from ECS. This company uses desktop prosesor Intel Pentium 4 as well as SDRAM, so you can simply buy new processor/SDRAM and plug it in. Obviously there are some disadvantage with this system (i.e. batery and floppy disk are optional)
