E-brake.

it's hard since MBZ's e-brake is a foot-pedal and not a hand-lever.

Trade it in on something with balls?

the car's not mine 🙂

ROFL, in that case brake torque the hell out of it and clock the steering wheel to one side. All in the lowest gear possible.

can you teach?

I tried lifting off after a hard acceleration and turned sharply, the car did slide a little.

I still don't understand the physics of it though, I mean, after you lift off, all the weight is transfer back to the front wheels, thus breaking the front tires loose and creating Understeer, and not the supposed Oversteer.

I don't think MB intended the c240 to get sideways but what manufacturer really does? You could try trail-braking into the turn...don't get hurt.

that would create too much noise and smoke in my office parking lot 🙂

tarmac and talent are the limiting factors here 🙂

ya, I know it's not meant to be drifted, but I want to get that feel of a RWD car. (I have driven FWD car ever since)

anyways, what's Trail-Braking?

Try staying on the gas through the turn, or let off and when you feel you're about to slide mash the gas.Try doing this at low speeds in a wet parking lot first. Don't be doing this on public roads.

Are you sure the TC is all the way off? I thought that even by pushing their TC button, MB's system wasn't fully disengaged - you have push it like 3 times rapidly or something. Or maybe I dreamed that, I can't remember.

Good luck, don't plow any buildings down.

It's RWD, you shouldn't be lifting. Go into a turn at brisk speeds - slow enough to maintain control, though - then crank the wheel hard the rest of the way and stand on the loud pedal. If I can do full 360s in a minivan, you can at least pull off a tail-wag in a C240.

You're asking how to slide the ass end of your car around, and you're worried about noise and smoke? 😕 What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

frankly, it was the sliding experience, which I never had before. But I just figure out I was too chicken sh1t to do it. (especially since the car is not mine, AND my job is on the line since I got complaints about my driving in the office's parking lot.)

oh well, thread's over. back to work....

1) Drive north until you hit snow
2) Find empty parking lot with fresh coating of powder
3) ...
4) Profit!

Never, ever, ever, play in your own neighborhood or at work. Go find a big parking lot in an industrial part of town.

Then, going 10 MPH or so, swerve in one direction, then violently in the other direction while punching the gas. This should be done in first gear.
