I have an Optiplex GX400 with a built in 3Com 3C905C-TX card. How do I boot up into DOS with network support? I already tried the 3c90x.com driver that used to work. ANy ideas?

I guess what I really need is the dos driver for the 3c905c-tx card. I have all the other files I need. So where can i find the .com file for the 3c905c-tx card? I can't locate it on 3Com's site.

What you need to do is download Disk #2 from the Support section of the 3C905C-TX NIC section. In that ZIP file, there resides the .DOS file necessary to load the NIC. Read the documentation that comes with the ZIP file.

Also, don't forget to turn ON PnP Support within the BIOS. Or set NO PnP OS INSTALLED. Let the BIOS assign the resources to the NIC.

If you need any further assistance, let me know and I can email you some sample disks that have driver support for this tpe of NIC.
