How do i benchmark in SeriousSam(TFE or TSE)

Hi,
How do benchmark in Serious Sam 1 or 2.
Should i load the Extreme Quality Add-on?

You need to go to the demos screen in either TFE or TSE. Then hit the tilde key (~) and type in the following command:
dem_bprofile=1
if the command screen is still present, hit the (~) key to exit it. At the end of the demo, hit the (~) key again and it will show your fps. It works the same in both games. 🙂

you can play around with the game settings and see what causes the biggest performance hit. I usually run my games at 1024x768, 32-bit, with AF. Otherwise, I pretty much leave everything default. But.....part of the fun in benchmarking is experimenting and seeing what it takes to bring your system to its knees. 🙂 It doesn't seem to take that much anymore to bring mine to its knees. 😀

I mean, what sort of settings do reviewers use? Do they use the Extreme Quality addon ?

oh.....good question. I would suppose that they would use the most aggressive settings possible. I don't know about any extreme quality addon but it definitely could be a possibility. I would say that your best bet would be to check through some of the Anandtech reviews and see if they mention what settings were used. If you don't want to do that, perhaps you could e-mail Anand or one of the staff and maybe they could answer that question for you. 🙂

The extreme quality addon, is a script thats included in both versions of the game, to make the gfx as good as they can get.
Ive checked some reviews, and they say nothing about actual settings, just resolution.
