How Do I Back Up A Windows Update?

I recently had problems finding a WinXP compatible 56k modem. I posted about it here. Last night I used Windows Update and found they were WinXP drivers for my Hi-Val winmodem model H5619-00R (Agere chipset) I could never connect with. I would like to back up these drivers because I plan to reformat and reinstall WinXP again, how do I do this? And yes I tried looking for them at Agere's website.

Use the Windows Update Catalog and download updates as 'stand alone' for network administrators (vs. web install):

Go to the Windows Update web site.

- In the left pane, under Other Options, select ?Personalize Windows Update?.

- Under ?Set Options for Windows Update?, select the checkbox for ?Display the Link to Windows Update Catalog under ?See Also??, then click ?Save Settings?.

- Refresh the Windows Update web site.

- In the left pane, under ?See Also?, select ?Windows Update Catalog?.

- Select ?Find Updates for Microsoft Operating Systems?.

- Select the operating system and language of your choice.

- Select all of the patches you?d like to download, then click on ?Go to download basket? to download them.
