How do I apply for a passport?

The title pretty much says it all. My friend has come up on a Hot Deal for tickets to London in January and I want to go.

Any help is appreciated!

dunno, but kinkos takes passport pics. Try calling your local Immigration of Natural Services (INS) branch.

I think you can do it at most major city Post offices. Walmart will take the picture for you, and then you take it to the post office and start the paperwork. I'm curious as well, because I'm going to have to apply for one myself here very shortly.

You need your 2 photo's, an ID of sorts (birth cert or Naturalisation cert) and then you got to pay for it .. something around 100 bucks.. and then wait for 2 weeks.. normally comes in a week.

If you want it in less than 5 days you can pay additional 30.. if you want it next day or same day emergency .. you can go to a US Federal Building where the passport office is housed (in LA is 11000 Wilshire Blvd - Near the 405 that federal bulding) and they can issue it to you immeidately.. but that only if you have an emergency.
