How do I add my own folder into XP Start menu?

I used to make my own custom 'Games' folder in the start menu back in winME/98. It was easy to do and would sit up where 'Open office document' would be.
I can't find a way to do this in XP though! Right clicking on the start menu doesn't help and searching around my HD for the proper folders doesn't reveal anything. I know there must be a way to do this. It would be really great if i could stick this folder where 'my recent documents' is right now under XP's start menu.

That list now appears under "All Programs", unfortunately. I am not sure how much of the rest of it you can customise. Good question!!

Yeah i'd like like to avoid having to go through the 'all programs' folder first. Someone must know how to do this.

And i thought XP was supposed to be customizable :frown:

I dont think its possible to add a folder where you'd like to, but you can add it to the 'All Programs' menus the same way you did in Win ME/9x. In XP you'd add the folder to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserFolder\Start Menu to add it to just your Start Menu or to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu to add it to the Start Menu of all the users who have an account on the computer.

You can place the folder shortcut above the most recent programs ran. I haven't figured out how to make it an expandable folder, if that's even possible, but what it does right now is opens up Windows Explorer with all the shortcuts.
