How do I access bios on a Dell?

Hi everyone. I recently recieved a new Dell 2.2G computer. How do I get into bios? On my old computer, I needed to press delete @ the energy saver screen, but I seem to think Dell doesn't want me playing with their factory settings. I am fairly educated on what to do once I'm there, but any help is greatly appreciated.

With dell? What are you gonna change? Anyways...you should try pressing F2 or any other "BIOS" key. What I do is press del, F1, F2, and insert all at once and one of them will get me into the BIOS

hmm, as was said, you will have little you can change.

a dell bios offers very limited tweaking options!

Yup, not much tweaking to be done. Dell's key to get into BIOS is F2, BTW.

I tried F2 like it said @ the startup screen, but it displays my options for 2 seconds, and goes straight to windows. I was actually hoping to adjust the memory and character per second rate.
