(How) Do divining rods work?

Still…gotta wonder why someone would turn down the gift of $1M? If it works so well, easily and reliably, then surely that $1M gift that’s being offered is worth taking a week of vacation time from work to go obtain…since it works so well and all.

Just cannot imagine having so much confidence in something that one will bray all about it on random internet chat forums, but having exactly ZERO confidence in same irl

I promise you, we aren't looking at your comments with awe and disbelief. We're waiting for you to actually provide proof in a controlled environment (not controlled by you) since you claim it's so easy. There's more than a few ways to accomplish this but the best one would be checking into the skeptics societies and proving yourself to them.

You know, earning money WHILE you prove everyone wrong. That's just a double win for you and nobody who could actually perform such a feat would ever turn that down.

Going a little off-topic though, but if I ever won the lottery and they gave me the chance for a speech, I'd just claim I'm a psychic and I used my powers for evil, then disappear to an island.
