If you're still using original XP, it only support 130. If you're using original, get SP1 + or break it up to pieces.

edit - the partitions I mean, not the drive. ;)

It's not a new hard drive, it's a good 7 months old. I already had it partitioned to a 120 and a 40.

Negative.

So you cant see that 40gig partition im guessing? I'd try those HD scanning programs from the manufactures.

You mean that Disc Wizard 2003 thing that came with the HDD? A'ight, I'll try it out, thanks.

Didn't try Disc Wizard yet, but walking through it with someone it seems as though I am screwed bigtime.

Close to it at least. Although the Creationism vs. Evolution thread from a few hours ago is in the running too. First it was hijacked with BBQ talk, then dug777 and I turned it into a pseudo-videocard flamewar. Oh, and then hi-def pr0n.

If you can recover the partition somehow, you can recover the files, as long as you dont copy anything over the data. You can format and still recover files.

this happened to me. my jumpers were off.

(i had it connected to a controller card which required really strange settings. it ultimately worked when i fooled around with the jumpers enough times for it to show up in BIOS and in disk management.)

Mostly by yelling, and many times cursing the Red Sox. I can actually order dinner in St. Louis by saying nothing but various curses about Boston.

Try asking them that in Latin. ;)
