How do audiophiles even tie their shoes in the morning?

I have seen some stupid shit in the audio world, but really? $2,668 ear buds?

The description just reeks of bullshit marketing-speak. Amazing.

Good audio stuff is rarely cheap. So what if they're a few thousand if they sound awesome?

You can't tell the difference. There has not been a single documented case of a audiophile being able to discern the sound from different pieces of cheap vs extremely expensive material in a way that was above randomly guessing

Ironically the person mixing the audio doesn't even have monitors that complex. These are probably no better than ones 1/10th the price. Audiophiles who spend that amount are only hear what's in their mind, rather than what's actually on the record. The loudness war killed all the subtlety they praise decades ago.

what what but my cables for 10 K are awsome i can hear the seperation and 3d positionig is awsome also they make the base come alive. My new 3K hdmi cable makes images jump out of the screen.

wouldn't be surprised if custom IEMs are superior and at a lesser cost

anyways, those wires look thin as hell

define cheap

I have some $10 desktop speakers that sound horrible

You continue living with your white Apple earbuds, while some of us actually care about quality. I don't know anything about that company, so maybe they make good stuff, maybe it's marketing bullshit...WTF do you care.

Next up...Ferraris! WTF!? It's just a car!

\404: Good audio stuff not found

Oh, and please define "good audio stuff." Please, for the love of god, do it.

How do you even know?

I'm not saying they're good, I've never heard them. Hmm, imagine that, instead of spouting off about something I don't even have experience with, I just say, its probably not worth it, and its expensive enough that I'll likely never try it. No need to cop an attitude.

From what I gathered on Head-Fi, Final Audio is overpriced, but acting like its all bullshit is just as idiotic as acting like its good just because its expensive.

Good audio stuff? Well done custom IEMs, well mixed/mastered/recorded tracks on a quality format (say 24/96 FLAC? nicely done binaural recording), nice vintage integrated amp, decent DAC with good implementation. Well matched system (i.e. impedance/output matched). Listening to speakers, properly placed, in an acoustically treated room.

Yes, there's certainly a lot of snake oil and bull shit in audio, but it doesn't take much to wade through it.

I would be surprised if they weren't (and they most definitely will be lower cost).

Internal air pressure, on the other hand, is kept in check thanks to the X-VIII Series' metallic earpads, which allegedly allow your ear to naturally adjust to any barometric shifts.
...doesn't yawning forcefully take care of this problem?

I have seriously come to the conclusion that there are no upper-middle class+ people in the world that hate the Piano Forte X-VII.

Almost everyone above that says they would never buy one, would have to choose between rent or financing it for over a year.

Even those without a need are not blind to it's benefits.

It's always a freaking riot though seeing someone with a pair of Sennheisers struggling on a plane.
:hmm:

nobody can argure that a good receiver + amplification + decent speakers is gonna sound better than a HTIB..

but yeah.. stuff like that is ridiculous.

Yeah, just like how there really is no difference between a $1 cheeseburger at McDonalds and a burger costing $5+ at a nice restaurant. People just think they can perceive a difference. There's no documented evidence that there's really a difference.

Wait, what?
