How difficult is making and cutting briges on the CPU ? ( AMD )

What should I use besides solder ? I dont want it going all over the place.

Any other suggestion ? Also wouldn't the Solder melt since the CPU does get pretty hot.

What should I use to cut the bridge ?

well mine is already unlocked but I gotta do the voltage mod since I can't change anything in the bios. ( no options besides fsb )

These unlocking kits do work.

Solder would be really, really tough because the line you need to make is no more than a millimeter in width, probably less.

Cutting bridges is pretty difficult, from what I hear.

It's only a 30 dollar CPU, but it's one with really high potential. like 2.1ghz potential.


Plus the Thing is going into a shuttle system. so space is very limited

I tried a trace repair kit. I failed several times. So did hdeck. It's very difficult. We never got our CPUs unlocked. It was so easy in the pencil trick days.

I used the 12v line on my PSU to "cut" the bridges on my old 1ghz morgan.
