How did you learn there's no such thing as Santa Claus?

I didn't learn about Santa until I was old enough to know he doesn't exist

I found out by catching my parents stuffing our stockings.

I did keep it secret from my sisters though, so they could figure it out on their own.

Now I'm waiting for my son to figure it out.... he's 7 now.

I figured out when I was 6. I knew that he lived on the North Pole. But then when I realized that the North Pole was basically just ice, I reasoned Santa couldn't possibly have a house on ice so he must not be real.

I dont get it. What is the fun in lying to your kids? I know I was really pissed when I found out Santa was real. Not because Santa didnt exist, but because my parents lied to me. Ruined my Xmas that year.
