how did you get pulled into anandtech? (how did you find this place?)

Looking for info on the best in hardware, when I decided to build my first PC from scratch,I came and lurked around the home page and then hardware forum. After about 1 1/2 of lurking,I decided to join the forums and participate.

This is undeniably one of the best forums, filled with the best people to chat with and share our dreams and aspirations. I am in awe of the power of the internet as a medium for bringing people together.

In most cases,people carry themselves to work each day and communicate with the same people day after day,then home to thier families,dinner,the tube,and then to bed. This forum is a great diversion to an otherwise dreary existance. And it's totally unpredictable.

Ya gotta love it.

I don't remember actually. I was floating around trying to learn more about computers and got the link here from another site. When I first came here I think anands was hosted on geocities, if I recall correctly anyway. Anyone still remember the sports forum anands had at one time? That was either a ubb bbs or something before that.
