I first heard about it through google, I was searching for computer reviews and anandtech popped up, so I clicked forums to see if there was anything good, and joined up, been hooked ever since, have taken some small breaks once and a while though.

During AN incredible climax, this fine chick screamed out: "Anandtech--YES YES YES--ANANDTECH!!".
Not one to ignore a subtle hint, I had to check it out.

I was checking out the Porn Site "Anadtech" when I mistyped "Anandtech" instead and the next thing I knew I was here.

I was visiting a a friend's house about 500 miles away, and we were going out to buy an Apex DVD player for cheap. He didn't tell me about the site, although he printed out the deal thread, and the name stuck. Two weeks later when I returned home, and typed in "Anand Tech dot com". Here I am.

I'd been coming to the site for quite a while and never knew, or cared, there was a forum here. I was just looking around for sites about pc hardware. I discovered the forums while looking for a SETI team to join.

I was doing a search for super seven motherboards and while looking for reviews found Anandtech.

It took awhile for me to find the fourms and I lurked for quite awhile but a little incident over a monitor got me posting.

I remember way back when it was Anand's Hardware Tech Page (I think so.... do I have the name right? It's been a long time, and don't want to bother looking it up).

I just visited the site back then a couple of times, but heard of it about a year later, and just kept coming back. I wound up having an extended vacation from the site due to family problems... that explains my account not being old.

I think that I got originally got here from a hardware review link on Blue's News. back in 1999. I didn't join the forums for awhile after that, however.

A user from here that goes by Rifter referred me to the for sale for trade forums when I was trying to sell my 56k modem 3 years ago.

Time flies =)

A colleague in the office mentioned something about this wunderkind named Anand.

Mod, do I get brownie point for saying 'wunderkind'? ;)
