my friend gave me links to "hot deals" on fatwallet and anandtech. i didn't do much with the site at the time; this was probably in 2001 or so.

when i got engaged, i noticed that my fiance posts a lot on anandtech. and then i decided to join. now i am here. hello.

My brother told me about the Hot Deals forum. Then I found out about Fatwallet.com. Been loving both ever since.

I read an article on Yahoo about this kid who had a hardware website and how he managed to scoop everyone with a review of the AMD K6-3 450 (?) cpu. IIRC, he was running the website from his bedroom.

Was that back in 1998?

I've been here since like, the beta reviews, and we used to like, talk through a thing called, E-mail, or something like that.

Years ago when I wanted to OC my 300 mhz celeron, my friend introduced me to anandtech. I never even joined the forums 'til years later even though I checked the site daily...I was PhoKing - I forgot my e-mail and password for that account. For a while now, I've been out of the loop but I'm back. I do this on and off, but I always come back.

I spent a whole thursday searching for AMD cpu reviews, and walla, same day I found this, I found tomshardware. That was about 3 years ago.
