CrackRabbit suggested I check out the General Hardware section when I was struggling with PSU issues (with my dual Xeon machine -- ended up running dual Seasonic S12's), then went to ATOT, now I pretty much reside @ C&C & DC.

Last March, I decided to build my own computers instead of getting the usual blah PCs.

I was searching for a MOBO and found a review on AnandTech. From that point on, I used the reviews to select all of my components. I built 4 AMD FX-60s.

When I started to run BOINC again I joined a team, but I didn't care for their forums. Soon after, I was searching for more reviews (water cooling) and saw the DC forum, so I switched teams and I've been here since.

I think it was the newsgroup "comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware" some time in '97 someone mentionwed it along with Tom's, never even went to the forums or even knew there were forums until '99, then lurked until 2000.
