I was a member at AGN too but after I had joined AT. AnandTech was my first. Lost my Internet virginity here.

Ditto. It took me months before I even noticed the forums (probably because I was reading the site in the geology computer lab, so my time online was limited each session). The Aopen AX6BC review had really impressed me so I bought this instead of an ASUS P2B for my first build.

over a decade ago, mentioned on Tech TV (The Screen Savers) back when it was actually good. They were talking about Overclocking the original AMD Thunderbird

Paulson grew up after a while... but he was damn annoying when he was harping about his Gateway 1GHz Tbird computer.

Damn, someone mentioned SysOpt. I was there too and a few more places. I'm quite the computer forums slut it seems.😳
 
Videocard reviews a looong time ago. I think it was when I was upgrading from like a geforce 5600 or something in a crappy dell prebuilt to a foxconn 7900gs. That foxconn was a beast. I dunno if it was an anadtech thing, some other forum, or just an internet-wide phenomenon, but their 7900gs was basically a meme.

Came to the forums for FS/FT and to ask OC questions for my new processor I bought on FS/FT.

Found this place during the WMC resolution, when the Hot Deal section was made to "isolate" the WMC's from OT, or that's what was being told back then anyway.

And remember Value America? Spent more than my share with that now defunct company. And all the freebies that the companies back then gave away---still have a few laying around today. Mostly junk but the crap was free.

Forget the actual hardware sites before AT. Sharky Extreme was one, there was another but forget its name now, too long ago.
