How did you find Anandtech forums?

This might be a repost but I was just curious how you guys got here.

Me, my cousin has been a member here for awhile. When I first got a comp and had some computer related questions he suggested I bring my questions here. Been hanging out mostly on FS/FT but lately Ive been attracted to off topic🙂

Back in 98 when I cared about computer hardware I came in search of info on a computer upgrade. Now all I do is OT.

I stumbled onto it after reading AT reviews on hardware. It was back in early 99 when the BX6.2's were hot.
I originally got hooked on the "Hot Deals", especially the Value Dollars 😀 I've been around ever since.

I was drunk, and my head smashed into my keyboard. My forhead spelled out anandtech.com and my mose hit the enter key.

Boom, I was here.

Similar, but I first started on the Sharky forums. One of those "where else do you post" threads came up and AT was mentioned. I came here for the for sale forum, stayed for off topic.

Back in 1997 I hung out at the old VE/AGN/3fingers 3dfx forum. Many posters there also posted here.

I asked a friend what the specs of his new box were, and he pointed me to an AT System Rig page.

He no longer posts here though.

i remember seeing a bit on tv about young millionaires, and anand was mentioned. then, about a year later, when i was building a new computer, i figured i'd check out his website. lurked for about a week, then joined.

Abit put a whole bunch of awards on thier kt7a-raid mobo so I saw Anandtech and said: Hmmm that looks like a good site.

I found out about Anandtech through Tom's Hardware a LONG time ago, and after a while I realized AT had a forum, too.

... now I'm an AT crack addict. 😀

I was real tired of Jerkin's so I decided to pick up my old A+ certification book and look in the index. It had several websites written on the back, including TomsHardware and Anandtech. Back in 2000. But I didn't find about the forums till this timeframe of last year.

a boyfriend was completely addicted...always on when he was over. In fact, I believe he posted about us 😛 Now though, he lurks and I post 🙂

Similar to lilfajita. My xbf was building his computer and I had to puzzle over why, when he bought his monitor, he felt the need to go on this strange website and post to people he didn't know that he'd gotten it for a whole penny less than the previous ferengi. So, I checked it out, and I'm here to tell you, guys, it's changed my life. Or maybe sucked in my life would be more apt.

I was looking for mobo reviews in '97 stumbled over Anandtech...I started reading his reviews and really enjoyed the content and also this BBS

Was bidding on an eBay auction - got nerfed due to last-minute suckage on the part of my ISP (resnet). It was a beautiful custom case by Flood - an AT member. His friend was auctioning it off, he pointed me here to ask about the how/where/what of the case to Flood ... and I got hooked.
