Monster, Careerbuilder, Hotjobs... what else did you do? (or can you do?). Agencies do nothing for me since all they specialize is finance & administrative.

Monster, CB, and Dice. Posted resume, made searchable, let them contact me.

Worked out well, I'm about to start a new position in a couple of weeks. I ultimately got my job through CB, since the recruiter found me there.

really, that type of position seems really exciting. What do you hate about it?

It can be enormously stressful and frustrating trying to get people from different departments working together on tasks that aren't their highest priority when you have deadlines to meet.

PM SOUNDS cool, but unless you're a real high-level PM, it's just a bitchwork like any other middle-level corp job - sitting in cube all day. I want to travel for my next job.

Consulting is for you, then. If you have leadership experience (PM is good) and can quantify on-time/on-budget, you'll probably be able to land on the technical side of any of the Big 5 consulting firms.

I've never had any luck doing that. All of my best leads have been through recruiters that saw my resume on Careerbuilder or Monster.

I got my job through a special event hosted by the University that I helped run.
