Show the evidence and i will believe.

I have seen airplanes. They exist.

I have seen sea squids. They exist.

I have not seen talking bushes or sky fairies. Therefore they must not exist.

Show me some solid evidence and i will believe otherwise

Wow you think that anything you've never personally witnesses must not exist? Holy fucking shit.

Agreed, a better way of explaining it would be "I've experience physical things: They exist." I've experienced emotions: They exist" "I've experienced logic: It exists" "Something that is outside logic, and physics I cannot experience therefore it doesn't exist"

That's assuming you want to base your argument on experience, which I wouldn't

Atheism is an affirmation that no divine being exists; yet, it is fraught by the same shortcomings of any "belief system".

When religion goes out of the system of 'belief', which implies lack of substantiation, and into experience, atheism is merely a cop out.

Atheism with respect to Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) is good for all of humanity as it forces people to think. When experience is placed above 'belief', there is no need for atheism as one's purpose is to find out for oneself; through seeking of knowledge of both mundane and esoteric things.

Not strictly speaking, no. Atheism is what characterizes any belief-set that does not include a belief that one or more gods exist. An atheistic belief-set may or may not include "an affirmation that no divine being exists." More practically, atheistic belief sets often feature affirmations that certain god-concepts are not instantiated in reality, while lacking the same affirmations for other god-concepts.

For example, I have a sound basis for affirming that a god-for-whom-there-are-finitely-many-primes does not exist, because I can prove that there are infinitely many primes. I cannot say the same for a god-who-is-bent-on-concealing-his-existence-completely.

I asked my Pastor in sunday school if all the people who had lived and died without ever having heard of Christ were doomed to Hell. He said yes, I realized this is B.S.

Anyone can have those experiences, even Atheists. They are merely self-triggered Emotions requiring no outside force, let alone a Deity.

thats awesome, whats it from?

Not sure, but looks like from a British TV series called "Outnumbered". It just showed up on my Youtube recommendations list. Watched a couple other clips that were also hilarious, like the little girl proclaiming that she had become a Satanist. :D

Atheists don't solve exponential equations because they don't believe in higher powers.

About the time I realized that I had no way of really knowing whether God, Satan, Schizophrenia, or the will to believe were the source of the strange thoughts appearing to enter my mind from somewhere else. Since I couldn't tell when God was communicating he must not have been communicating (since he's omnipotent); if he's not communicating it's because he doesn't want to (see omnipotence); if he doesn't care to interact with me why should I even try to interact with him (which is impossible anyway, see schizophrenia)? Once I'd made my way all the way down that thought train I knew I was theoretically an agnostic and practically an atheist.

The reason i do not believe in man written texts is because of just that, man written texts. It is kind of idiotic to believe in a supernatural being that is described as having human flaws and human behavior...
And the hypocrisy of religious people is devastating. Only a few do what they believe in. But they do not do it out of religious beliefs, it is who they are by choice.

Believing that more exists then the senses can detect, is quite easy and logical since the senses of man are limited. But this does not automatically mean there is intelligence. There is a drive to create life however, existing by the grace of how the building blocks of the universe function. And that is where it ends for me personally on a realistic side of life and from that subject on i end up in the realm of philosophy.

It is difficult for religious people to accept that we are surrounded by EM radiation. This radiation and the influence of changing gravity causes for an to religious people extreme randomly apparent chaos that has to be guided by some intelligence in their view. Because no matter popular views, atoms are not that constant in behavior as it seems... Which is a good thing or we would not be here. It is all about self assembly guided by the "laws of nature".

Most people (and religious people ultimately) are not even aware of air passing them. How can they (as with most atheists by the way is the case as well)on a conscience level keep track of what atoms are doing in an energetic EM environment.

Death is a perfect void. Everything else can be heaven.

I took exactly the opposite approach to religion - I believe in EVERY religion and all gods. That way I'm covered no matter who's right and if there's no God(s), no harm no foul. :p

(Makes for complicated swearing/whining/praying, however. I'll concede that.)

I decided a buying a expensive ticket and walking towards a theme park unseen and that none has seen was a pretty stupid idea.
