Started out here in 1998 when I was looking to build my first home built computer, and obviously was looking for info. My original name was John7072, then it got deleted with an upgrade, and then I went to the name jphutch, same thing happened, then I went to veryape, then to JohnPaul. Damn server crashes!! I'd be a Godlike member by now. Bow down to me!!! J/K, I could care less about post count, otherwise i'd be using my veryape account, which I don't and probably never will again, especially if a mod doesn't like my idea of having a spare account in case of another deletion. Hey, you never know. Anyhow, i've never stopped coming here since 98', although I have admittedly slowed down in my posting.

I read an article about him on the Washington Post, or New York Times websites, I forgot whicih. He had scooped the other hardware sites on posting a review of AMD's K6-3 450 cpu.

My friend told me "Dude, there's this really cool forum called Anandtech, you should check it out."

And boom, here I am. That was almost a year ago...

I was dating EpsiIon and wondered why he found the need to post on an internet forum that he got the lowest price on a monitor... by $.01. So I dropped by and got sucked in.

Someone gave me a The Wall Street Journal Online subscription for xmas several years ago, and there was an article about Anand. Good hooked on hot deals (bye bye $$$), posted on the tech boards, and finally I've sunk to this, my new home.

My master was having trouble keeping me off his sofa and from chewing up his slippers, so finally he drove me all the way out here and left me here.

I came to AnandTech for the tech review, then I joined the fourms and stayed mostly in hardware and then networking. One day I got bored and come in here to see whats up, and have not left since.

My friend first introduced me to hardforms and after a bit I was starting aquiring parts to piece my first rig together. I asked him if there were any other forums just so I had more fs/ft threads to look over and he pointed me here. I ended up liking it here more so here I've stayed :)

It all started when my Power supply flaked out. I searched for some online help and found Threshs Fringing Squad. After some time there I followed a link to this forum. It took a while but I slowly spent more time here, less at Firingsquad, now I no longer frequent that fourm.

At first Blue over at Bluesnews mentioned Anand in one of his updates. I built a couple of systems back in 2001 and used this site a lot to choose parts:)
