In the literal sense, I'd take that to mean let's hit it ;)

Man, I'd hate to be you the first time you told her "Let's jump in the sack". Then she punched you in the ba...

we met through friends outside a club and then we saw eachother around for a while and talked on icq. i thought he was cute but i stayed away because he was two years younger than me. one morning on icq he mentioned he liked concious hiphop and scratch djs and so i invited him to this bar that me and my friends go to where a couple of guys i know spin hiphop and scratch and ish.

none of my friends showed up

i never meant for it to be a date but it ended up being a date because we just sat and had drinks and talked for a long while... then when i got home i called my friends and bitched at them for not showing up and making me have a "date by default".

i wasn't really mad though, when he offered me his old videocard, invited me on a date to see the servers on his campus, discussed with me various internet fads, then laughed at me because i posted on the anandtech forums and then told me dirty computer science pick up lines i knew it was turning out to be one of the best dates ever.

we went on little random dates and spent time together and then one day he referred to himself as my boyfriend.

Somehow I get the feeling that most other girls would not consider that a great date. :p Yay for the oddballs. :)

We never really formally asked eachother out... It just kind happened. When she left to go back to her dads the weekend after we met, I think we just both kinda assumed. ;) The rest is history..

We've been together 1 year and 2 days now. :)

well, i still have yet to see the servers on his campus that he brags about.

but yeah, he also used that that integral line on me ("if you are x squared, i wanna be one third x cubed, the area under your curves")

it's one of those things where we are the geeks of our peer groups we finally have someone to discuss this cool math thing we learned about at school or some lame internet fad or some silly joke or pun and they will genuinly be interested and understand it.

Wow, and Ialways thought that Eakers was one of the LEAST nerdy girls on this site....

Anyway, I asked my girl out roughly like this: "So, you want to go downtown and have coffee or something?"

That was about three and a half years ago.

throughout my entire life ive asked most of my girlfriends out over the phone. i am an extremely shy guy and dont know how i would ask them out face to face lol.

I woke up in bed with her the next morning.

We introduced ourselves, and its history from there.

[Woops! Error!]

Okay, too many people are cracking me up in this thread:

[McPhreak:] "'I LOVE YOU DANIELLE!'

I LOVE YOU TOO!!!!"

LMAO! :D

[Zenmervolt:] "Somehow I get the feeling that most other girls would not consider that a great date. Yay for the oddballs."[/i]

That's what I was thinking too. I guess the guy's lucky to have a cool person like Eakers.

LMAO! I was wondering the same thing there again. But then if I remember correctly, Eakers is a math major. So I guess she wouldn't mind those things, would she? ;) He must be lucky to find you, Eakers. Hope he appreciates a woman who appreciates geeks/semi-nerds.

well, she's not exactly my g/f yet, but I have a very good feeling about her :)

so she was feeling bored one day and posted an ad on our campus's on-line "marketplace" (which I help adminster). It's not really a place where a lot of people do personal ads, but it's been picking up steam and we just created a new Personals section since there were so many people posting in "miscellaneous" :D Our campus is, well, socially repressed in general. So anyway, I e-mailed her. :D She replied, and we had a date last night. She's very nice and has sort of the same outlook on life that I do. Our date went *very* well... everything just happened naturally. We ended up spending 7 hours together :Q and the conversation never faltered. We both agreed to get together again, but it'll be hard to do so soon with Thanksgiving break coming up this week and both of us going out of town :( Anyway, I'm feeling like I'm on top of the world right now :)

edit: btw eakers I'm going to have to use that integral line sometime :D that's really funny.

We were introduced at a concert in a club. She put her number in my cell phone that evening (yeah, that's a good sign;) ). We were getting a ride home from my friend and she started making out with me in the car (even better! :D ). I called her the next day and asked her out to dinner and a play.

We were walking in Wal Mart and my dad called my cell phone for some computer help. She told me I made her hot listening to the tech talk. :D:D:D I got me a good one!
