I guess they don't talk to the people that actually RECEIVE packages.

Four Seasons' creative but practical approach reveals one of the most powerful secrets of world-class service: helping employees to understand what it feels like to be a customer.
I wonder how many companies do that? Reminds me of a movie I saw in the early 90s... might have been called "The Doctor" or something like that. A doctor gets throat cancer and becomes a patient, and experiences frustrations that cause him to re-think patient care.

I'd like UPS to re-think package care.

I've never had a bad experience with UPS.

In fact, last week I had two packages coming, one from FedEx and one from UPS, left the warehouse at the same time, but UPS delivered on time earlier in the day while I was home, FedEx delivered a day late, later in the day while I was at work.

How many bad deliveries are there in comparison to good ones? You only hear about the ones that go wrong.

Wouldn't it be Amazon.com, NewEgg, etc. as the customers not Zap or microAmp?

Indeed, but shipping issues also go through the sender, and in turn, back to UPS.

UPS thrives off of businesses, not personal. Ever wonder why all of their commercials target companies shipping items? And in that regard, their CS is fantastic.

Just because ATOT's random hater brigade doesn't like UPS doesn't mean they actually suck.

UPS is excellent at ironing out problems, and they do a farily decent job on the customer service end.
I've been using them for years and shipped literally thousands of packages. I'm more than pleased.
FedEx here is awful because we're rural. DHL is useless.

My company had a shipping account. They once denied us an insurance claim until I pointed out the packing guidelines they publish on their site, then they paid partially.

I have never had an issue with UPS.

I would rather not receive an order at all rather than get it from any other carrier than UPS.

i've never had a problem with UPS. just because you guys do, doesn't mean everyone else does. i swear, 1 bad incident you guys encounter and everything and anything is bad.
just like your irrational hatred of the police.

i've never seen so many people out of touch with reality as on this forum.

All I know is that we've had to file numerous claims with UPS here at work and never once with FedEx. Granted, we do a lot more shipping with UPS so there's more opportunities for error. But we do probably 5 FedEx shipments a week and never once have we filed a claim. And I've been working here since 1993.

With that said, I recently shipped a gift card (in a small package) via my company's UPS account to my brother-in-law. Should have been 1-day delivery but he didn't receive it. Tracking showed it was rescheduled for the following day. Never showed up. I wound up having to file a claim on it which took 8 days to process. I then received a call from UPS, telling me they couldn't reimburse me for the gift card since the store I got it from, has a policy for lost/stolen cards. So then I had to jump through hoops on that end to prove that the card was actually lost.

If I didn't have my receipt or if someone at UPS had stole the card/used it during those 8 days, I would have been screwed out of the money.

Just because you never have a bad experience doesn't mean everyone else never have bad experiences. I gave one example, and have many more from the perspective of someone with a shipping account. I also have many bad experiences on the receiving end too. I do count "bad experience" to include boxes which look like they've been through Hell and back, even if the contents were fine.

Yes, I've also had bad experiences with FedEx. Only shipper I haven't is DHL, but I haven't used/received through them very often so who knows.

I do know someone who works at the UPS center near Milwaukee, and he said that they sometimes literally toss the boxes because they have to keep them flowing.

Four Seasons' customer service is definitely one of the best customer service experiences I've had.
