You do know that Tyson is a right-wing hack, no? His hypocrisy knows no bounds...
Tyson?????
Everybody knows Colbert's simply playing a delusional "character" similar to Glen Beck and the like.... But Tyson is not a hack.
The guy is a astronomy/physics geek at a very extreme level.
He was very supportive of Bush policies and he also supports libertarian slanted politics. He is a right-wing hack. Read about his opinions on politics and policy.
Yeah, I don't think you know who Neil deGrasse Tyson is... He's gone on the record as saying science tends to receive more funding under Republican presidents, but he also dismisses intelligent design, considers global warming a reality, warns against the dangers of assuming science and religion cannot co-exist and is agnostic, none of which really fall under Bush's base. I'm curious where this right-wing partisan hack claim comes from.He was very supportive of Bush policies and he also supports libertarian slanted politics. He is a right-wing hack. Read about his opinions on politics and policy.

Lol, next you're going to say he's an absolute monster.
Here's what I know about Tyson
He's strongly against schools teaching creation.
He thinks NASA desperately needs more funding and that manned space flight will change the future of the country for the better.
He's got my respect, and I think he has the respect of most universities and scientists worldwide.
why don't you enlighten us, because that seems unlikely

I love that about him, he's so passionate about it and argues it so convincingly.
KT
o hai it's the time travel guy, didn't recognize the name.
Seems like a pretty cool guy to me. The Universe is such an awesome series.
not sure if you're just trolling or if you're just the opposite of smart
I don't really care what party he identifies with. His opinions on social issues are pretty liberal. Maybe he's a fiscal conservative or something. I can certainly identify with someone who is socially liberal and fiscally conservative in any case.
I'm becoming a pretty big Neal Degrasse Tyson fan of late, and it really has nothing to do with politics.
This is not rocket science, but Tyson fails at basic civics because he stumps for the right.

Get back into your hole kthxplz and re-make this thread thereWhat an astute assessment of Tyson's perspective. Here, since you are too stupid to figure it out for yourself. Tyson supports right-wing policies which is why he stumps for the right. He is wrong, and knowingly supports the right and perpetuates their lies in the corporate media. The Republicans did NOT increase funding for science, they CUT it. They ALWAYS cut it. Its part of the record, and well documented. So, why does Tyson support an anti-science agenda while promoting science? Hypocrisy.
EDIT: HINT: the president is not the legislative body that sets the budget. This is true for Obama, Bush, Clinton, and all presidents. Its a tool used by both wings to promote an agenda. Science funding decreased under Clinton because he dealt with an R Congress. It increased under Bush ONLY when Ds had a pseuod-majority. This is not rocket science, but Tyson fails at basic civics because he stumps for the right.
