I have to say the single most important thing is the RMA repair replace process that Newegg does. They are not perfect, but they stick with you and try to ride the storm out to help get you to a good place. The reality is that other places are SOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!! Most of the people I know are religious to them for that single thing. The other goodies like cheap price, good site design, and efficiency don't hurt either. ;D

RMA's at other companies USUALLY are a very painfull process. To use an analogy of a doctor doing surgery on a patient; With other companies the doctor operates on you without anestetic, he is a grade A malpracticing doctor, doesnt care about you, and you DIE on the table. Or in other words you usually get SCREWED along the RMA way and are SOL!

IMHO...

They're great but my only complaint is I have to pay tax. Most of the time I don't mind as even with tax I'm still getting a really good price.

I just wish they would use USPS as a shipping option. Heck I wish all companies down in the Lower 48 would option to use USPS. (I live in Alaska)

Althought the point is somewhat reduced because Fedex is now offering ground service (even though it goes on a plane for the bit between seattle and anchorage. HA! :D) to Alaska which is finally making shipping REASONABLE here. (we NEVER get the free shipping option)

As far as the user reviews (cNet article)...I always check the low ones out, and I've always found my negative comments never made it to the page, BUT...my vote has always gone in (like my most recent...my comment never made it, but the rating changed, one vote was added, and it lowered by 1 star...the right amount if standard averaging is used).

I believe they moderate the comments for things like email addresses and references to specific companies (look for the comments with 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXX'). I would think, once they're moderated, they get added.

They do not publish negative reviews.

I just ordered a Panasonic nose hair trimmer from newegg. I was shocked they carried it. I'm gonna overclock it.
