How did I do on my 3870 purchase?

I purchased an HIS 3870 from NCIXUS for $239 plus $15 shipping and $3.60 for the insurance (might as well). Bundled for free is a copy of Call of Juarez (OEM DVD) and the Valve Black Box. Total was $259 shipped and they are showing an ETA of 11/20. Do you guys think I did well or not? There's still time to cancel 🙂

The 3870 should be fine.. add to that you get Call of Juarez and the Valve Black Box... I think they're a pretty good deal..
 
You did very well, infact better than most cos i cant upgrade my Graphics to anything because the 8800GT and the 3870 are all out of stock in the UK. So enjoy your card and your new games.
 
I got in on the egg deal for 225 shipped, but it doesn't come with COJ or black box. If you were planning to purchase those games anyway then it's a great deal.
 
Well I got the Black Box with my 2900 so I didn't need that. I played through COJ when it came out in the UK. After I recieve my 3870's I will be "purchasing" COJ to try it out on DX10.

But yes that I believe is a good deal.

Horrible choice IMO. He should have gotten an 8800GT instead.

If he is concerned with heat and watt usage and noise, the 3870 is a good choice. However, it would have been wiser to wait until it dropped price a bit. But it is a good card anyway.
 
nobody else is showing that rebate, not even diamond's web site. are they trying to steal newegg customers? it doesn't matter, neither of them has 3870 in stock right now, anyway...
 
What is Call of Juarez worth? 40 bucks? Damn nice deal if you ask me. In my eyes, you got that card for 219.00. Amazing price and a great card for that money.

black box is also worth 40 bucks, so really, he saved 80 bucks
 
My HIS 2900 Pro cost me about $270 shipped, but because it came with Dungeon Siege 1 it was totally worth it. 😛 I'm glad they bundled a game that can really show off my new GPU.
 
hmmm. ncix has both his and visiontek in stock right now with both deals. i looked up call of juarez and wasnt impressed, but i want the valve black box. should i get it and which company?
 
Where do you see them in stock at? They also just dropped the price on mine by $19 so I asked them to refund the difference, since it JUST now processed and it still hasn't shipped. I let them know if they didn't adjust the price that I would like them to cancel the order so I can just reorder it at the discounted price, however, a price adjustment would be easier! 🙂

ncix says in stock with limited availability. VS and HIS, not diamond
 
if you can wait a week then don't order until then. there will probably be much better prices or at least consistently lower prices once the supply ramps up.
