Seriously? Did anyone else think suck was not that good in Monster's Ball? The only redeeming quality of that movie was the sex scene. Even then knowing it was Billy Bob just gave me the creeps.:disgust:

I couldn't stand how she made her acceptance speech a racial thing. Just left a very bad taste in my mouth and I thought it was poorly done. Perhaps she is trying to forget that she is half white? Wonder how that speech made her mother feel?
She was the first black woman to win an Oscar.
...and don't give me that she's only half. Her "forgetting" that she's half white and your remembering that she is, is the same damn thing. It's only done when the time seems fit.
Why does everything have to be about race?
Her speech was classless. How about we get a white woman to win an image award and go onstage talking how groundbreaking and great it is for a white woman to win? It would be classless as well.

my wife made me watch Monsters Ball with her
a- the movie was awful
b- all she did was cry and phuck
c- ok, so it was cool to see her naked.... but not oscar worthy
d- she obviously won it for being naked, again, she cried and 4uckd, this is not difficult
e- i like peter boyle on everybody loves raymond, it was a waste to bother with his character in this movie....actually, short of the halle berry being naked, everyone was a waste in this movie, terrible terrible movie

She IS overrated... plus she's one of those hollywood stars who are under the impression that they can do whatever they want to whoever they want, whenever they want... IE her little hit and run incident... or were there two of them?

Why do you give a sh!t? It's not like you'll ever meet her or actually sit down and chat with the woman or get to know her. People always put down what they don't understand or don't care to understand.
I don't hear anybody asking why Denzel won his Oscar. It's just an AWARD and one that really on matters to the folks in Hollywood anyway!!!!! It's not like just b/c she's won an Oscar that she doesn't have to wipe her own ass or brush her teeth everyday. Get over it and go play UT2003 or whatever you people do these days
And Hugh Grant tried to pick up a prostitute, Eddie Murphy tried to pickup a transvestite prostitue, Joshua Jackson beat up a security guard at a Carolina Hurricanes game, Jack Nicholsan once slugged a guy after a fender bender.

Okay, look... I would rather never meet her than have her slam into my car, and then drive off, without a word! Most people who do that go straight to jail, and I don't think that just because I will never know her, it's okay for her to get away with whatever she wants... Besides, mentioning Hugh Grant doesn't make a whole lot of sense here, since his career was ruined by his prostitute incident. Sure, there will be attempted comebacks, but they won't pick up.
Halle Barry, nor anyone else, should be able to do sh!t like that... and because of that, she doesn't deserve the fame she has recieved in the last few years.

WRONG. Hugh Grant was a relative nobody before that. After his Tonight Show appearance where Leno asked him "What were you thinking?" his career took off from there. Take a look at his box office draw before and after the incident. The change in his popularity is WELL NOTED b/c instead of lying about it, he came straight out and told the truth and people respected that. Hugh Grant is the epitome of the male English actor and he is most likely the most well known.
