How Did Half-Life 1 end?

I played all the way til the alien planet or whatever but for unknown reasons I never finished the game. Can someone explain what happend in the end? I dont have it anymore and Im not gonna go buy it and play through it just to see the end....

You killed the final boss and were transported to an "interstellar subway car" where the G-Man explained things to an extent. He then gave you the choice to work for him, or "not" work for him. Choosing to work for him got you "Gordon Freeman : subject under further evaluation" or some similar quote and then the credits. Choosing to not got an apology from the g-man and then a pic of Gordon with 100 of the aliens pouring down on him.

I can't remember the exact order of his speech, he just gave a little background on how his organization had been investigating the alien demension/struggling against its inhabitants when the Black Mesa accident happened. Black Mesa was evidently not their first encounter with the aliens.

It didn't end = you were given a choice: die or join the man in the suit

since there is HL2, the "right" choice was to sign up

or not (don't buy the sequel - you died)
