How CPU bound would a single GTX 280 be on a E6600

There are going to be exceptions, but in the vast majority of situations that actually tax either your cpu or gpu, you are going to be limited by your gpu. An OCed E6600 is not going to be a bottleneck most of the time for a GTX 280. This is just the way gaming is. For the most part the only difference between a gaming PC and an internet surfer is the graphics card.

IMO, for any game that has come out in the last 2 yrs, if you aren't gpu limited you aren't using enough eye candy. :)

1) It's a test of PCI-E 2.0, not PCI-E 1.0
2) PCI-E 2.0 @ 8x is the same as PCI-E 1.1 or 1.0 @ 16x
