How could eggs be a healthy part of a complete breakfast?

Since I didnt get a newspaper today, I decided to read nutrition facts panels. I think I was happier when I didnt know how much "crap" eggs had. And milk.

If one egg = 70% DV Cholestrol... I just had 2, for 140%, whole milk, toast with butter, a sausage link ...

I guess I'm eating plain salad for the rest of the day. How the heck can eggs be good for you?

I thought eggs in moderation (no 3 egg omelletes a day) were good for you?

Susan and I like them over hard (I like them crispy around the edges) or sometimes scrambled.

QUESTION:
But what about the cholesterol in eggs, is that okay as far as healthy eating goes?

ANSWER
It's a well-known fact that eggs contain cholesterol. However, dietary cholesterol has very little impact on blood cholesterol levels in most healthy individuals. Recent research findings clearly indicate that when eggs are consumed as part of a low fat eating pattern, they are unlikely to alter blood lipid levels (1,2).

Eliminating cholesterol-rich foods from the diet could limit the availability of other important nutrients. If you are worried about your heart health risk, it is much more important for you to cut back on your total fat intake than to worry about a single food that contains cholesterol, like eggs.

If you are at risk for heart disease, have had a heart attack or have high blood cholesterol levels it is important for you to cut back on your total intake of fat, especially saturated fat, and trans fat and to follow the diet that has been prescribed by your doctor or dietitian.

Ah eggs...I like to scramble them up, throw in a bunch of cheese, some salsa, and some spices. Great after bar food.

If you want to eat eggs and be healthy, you need to buy "Egg Beaters", which are whites only I believe.

If I just eat the whites, thats like wasting half the egg. Im not going believe a quote from an egg producer website, it just seems too corrupt to be true.

If you actually took a look at the link, you would see that there were sources cited.

isn't this kinda like saying if I just eat the fleshy part, I'm wasting half a steak? There's lots of weight in bone you know.

Eggs are extremely healthy. You're basically eat a whole animal, which gives you all the vitamins, minerals, and proteins needed for your own body.

Even with thirty years of accumulated research showing that dietary cholesterol has only a small effect on plasma cholesterol levels, and that dietary cholesterol has little relationship to heart disease incidence, the dietary cholesterol and egg restrictions have become a staple of dietary folklore easily incorporated into our fat-phobic, cholesterol-phobic life-style.
Eggs and Cholesterol

Dietary fats and cholesterol is not your enemy. People with high bad-cholesterol have it because their liver is overproducing it, not because they're eating it. If you're worried about your own cholesterol levels, increase your fat intake - with mono and polyunsaturated fasts, extra virgin olive oil being the most important. They lower your bad cholesterol levels.

Cholesterol shmolesterol. Sitting at your desk all day is probably doing more harm to you than eating 6 eggs a day.

Personally I don't care about cholesterol.
I'm thankful to have the blood quality from my mom's side of the family -- ridiculously optimal levels of cholesterol and hypotension (low blood pressure). Doctors are usually amazed when they analyze my blood. :p

I like to use 2 fake eggs (mostly egg whites) and one real one. That way it has good taste, and does not stick to the pan to much. best of both worlds.

I do something similar. I use 3-5 whites and then 1 yoke for color and flavor when I make scramby eggs or omelets. But I don't care if I throw the yokes away, we have chickens in our back yard and get around 12 eggs a day.
